Please join us for the 2024 DSAR Fall Festival and Buddy Walk on October 19th, 2024 at Northside Middle School Pope Gym. The event starts at 11am, Kid Fun Run begins at 1:30pm with the Buddy Walk starting at 3pm. Please don’t forget to vote on your favorite Scarecrow! The winner of the contest will be announced at 2:30.
Since 1995, the Buddy Walk® has been the premier advocacy event for Down syndrome in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community. The Buddy Walk® attracts thousands of participants from coast to coast each year.
A day of inspiration and celebration, the walk brings together the Down Syndrome Community all while raising funds to support the mission of The Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke.
The Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke, VA is made up of families, friends, professionals, and individuals with Down syndrome in Southwestern Virginia.
Membership in our organization is free. We publish a newsletter, provide new parent packets for families, and host social and educational gatherings. We hope you will feel welcome in our group.
